Three killed in faction feud in AP

Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, Oct 23 (UNI) Two Congress activists and a TDP worker were killed in a clash in the faction-ridden Erakkalacheruvu Village of this district early today.

The two groups had been nurturing enmity since the recent local body elections and were bent upon settling scores with each other in the politically-polarised village in the faction-prone Rayalaseema Region, police said.

The deceased were identified as B Giddiah (35) and Ranganna (30) belonging to the Congress and Thimmappa(38) of the TDP.

Initially, the police had put the death toll at four.

Superintendent of Police P B Malla Reddy rushed to the spot and additional forces had been posted to bring the situation under control.
