Bangalore, Oct 23 (UNI) Texas Instruments India today announced the fourth Jack Kilby Science and Technology Quiz, 2006, targeting ninth and tenth standard students to generate the spirit of enquiry in them.
The quiz would be held at a national level in Bangalore, Chennai and Delhi this year with the winners of the final getting an all expenses paid trip to visit NASA's Space Centre, Houston, and Texas Instruments' Advanced Semiconductor Fabrication Facility at Dallas, Texas, a company release here said today.
The annual TI Jack Kilby Science and Technology quiz was held in line with TI India's commitment to create 'leaders of the future.' Sir Jack Kilby, a TI employee and Nobel Prize winner, revolutionised the world with his innovation of the Integrated Circuit.
In Bangalore, the Jack Kilby Science and Technology Quiz would be held on November five. The final would be held on November 14 in New Delhi.
''The Jack Kilby Science and Technology Quiz provides the right platform to imbibe a pursuit for scientific excellence and the quest for innovation among high school children,'' TI Managing Director Dr Biswadip (Bobby) Mitra said.
