Terminated MCD executive engineer hangs self

New Delhi, Oct 23 (UNI) An Engineer of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, terminated some time back, allegdly committed suicide by hanging himself in Adarsh Nagar area of North-West Delhi.

Executive Engineer Naresh Gupta (42), who had been terminated in April this year, was found hanging last evening from the ceiling of his room at his Adarsh Nagar residence on Ranjit Singh Road, according to the police.

In his suicide note, addressed to his wife, Naresh asked her to take care of their two children -- a son and a daughter.

Naresh, who was looking after the Shahdara Zone, was terminated over the ceiling and demolition drive.
