Rupee weakens by four paise, closes at 45.35.50/38.50/USD

Mumbai, Oct 23 (UNI) Indian rupee today weakened by four paise at Rs 45.35.50/38.50 per US Dollar compared to previous 45.33 per US Dollar, a money market trader said.

Earlier rupee opened weak at Rs 45.35/26 per US Dollar and in the mid-morning traded at Rs 45.39/40 per US Dollar.

The six month forward premia was fixed at 1.64 per cent and the one year premia was at 1.54 per cent.

Reserve Bank Of India today fixed the reference Rate at Rs 45.40 per US Dollar compared to the previous rate of Rs 45.31 per US Dollar.

The performance of rupee against other currencies was quite improved, against Euro, rupee closed up at Rs 56.94 (57.06), against Pound Sterling, it closed up at at Rs 84.91 (85.26) and against Yen, it closed up at Rs 38.07 (38.24).
