No reduction in security for Naidu: AP CM

Medak, Andhra Pradesh, Oct 23 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today made it clear that there was no reduction in security for his predecessor N Chandrababu Naidu.

Security for various leaders were decided by the Union Government in coordination with the state police according to the threat perception, he explained while talking to reporters after taking part as chief guest in the 15th Raising Day of the Special Protection Force at Ameenpur, in this district.

As many as 153 police personnel were guarding the former Chief Minister while he was stationed at Hyderabad and additional police personnel were drafted for security whenever he toured the state, he added.

Dr Reddy, who laid the foundation stone for the SPF Bhavan, announced that 2,000 persons would be recruited for the SPF shortly.
