National Tug-of-war championship on October 28 at Nakodar

Jalandhar, Oct 23 (UNI) As many as 32 teams from various states will participate in the 15th National Tug-of-war Championship-2006 to be organised in Nakodar near here on October 28 and 29.

While 15 state teams will participate in men's section, eight will particiapte in women category, Organising Chairman and state Sport Director Pargat Singh told reporters here.

Besides this, teams from nine clubs would also participate in the two day event, he added.

Union Sports Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar and Punjab Olympic Association President and former Union Minister Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa are scheduled to participate in the concluding ceremony.
