Mizoram Governor invites suggestion for better education
Aizawl, Oct 23 (UNI) Mizoram Governor M M Lakhera has invited suggestions from college teachers for the betterment of education in the state.
Inaugurating the 28th Mizoram College Teachers Association general assembly in Mamit yesterday, Gen Lakhera urged the teachers to realise their duties and responsibilities.
He said it was the duty of the teachers to create responsible and dutiful citizens of the country.
''Teachers' Day is solemnly observed in the country every year because of their importance for the society and the country,'' he said.
Mentioning the Mizoram's progress within a short span of time, Gen Lakhera said officials should monitor whether the funds for development were being utilised properly.
''If we do our job faithfully and deligently, I believe Mizoram will soon become a role model state for others to follow,'' he said.
