Minister's brother takes over as PEDA chairman

Chandigarh, Oct 23 (UNI) Brig (retd) Mohinder Partap Singh Bajwa, the brother of PWD and School Education Minister Partap Singh Bajwa, today took over as the Chairman of Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) here.

Brig. Bajwa is the son of late Satnam Singh Bajwa, a former minister from Qadian in Gurdaspur district and elder brother of Mr Partap Singh Bajwa.

Among others present on the occasion of the takeover ceremony were Chief Parliamentary Secretary Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, Kewal Singh Dhillon, Member of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee and large number of Punjab Congress leaders and supporters were also present.

The post of the PEDA chairman was vacated by Vijendra Singla, who had been appointed as the president of the Punjab Youth Congress earlier this month.
