Man opens fire with Chinese pistol, arrested in Doda
Jammu, Oct 23 (UNI) Security forces last night arrested a person after he opened fire with a Chinese pistol at his residence in Doda district, police said here today.
Jamshir, son of Saki Mohammad of Handanpura, came to his house with a Chinese pistol, with which he opened fire after the family members enquired about the weapon, Senior Suprintendent of Police (Doda) Manohar Singh told UNI.
He said Jamshir, who was under the infeuence of liquor, tried to escape leaving the weapon at the spot.
Police have recovered the pistol from the site of crime, the SSP said, adding, ''the person was a history sheeter and we are investigating if he had any links with militant outfits.'' UNI VJ BDP MIR RAI1852
