Lavrov denies Security Council draft resolution on Iran nuke issue

Moscow, Oct 23 (UNI) Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov today denied that UN Security Council was discussing a new draft resolution on Iranian nuclear problem.

"So far, the UN Security Council has not received any specific proposals on Iranian nuclear problem. Consultations are continuing," he told reporters.

''The UN Security Council is not discussing a resolution on Iran,'' he said answering a question whether the negotiating countries had any plans for discussing such a resolution at the UN Security Council, later this month.

''Fortunately, or unfortunately, there is nothing for Russia to veto for the time being,'' Mr Lavrov noted.
