First Haj flight to take off from Karippur on November 25

Kozhikode, Oct 23 (UNI) The first plane carrying devotees from Kerala for 2007 Haj pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia will take off from Karippur International Airport near here on November 25.

According to the schedule prepared by the Central Haj Committee other dates of departure were November 26, 28, 29 and December 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, one flight each, and on November 27, 30 and December 3 and 6 two a day.

Air India, which was entrusted with carrying the devotees, would begin return trips on January 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 16, 18, and 19, one flight each and scheduled to introduce two carriers on 9, 12, 14 17, it said.

The Committee had convened a meeting of its members at Karippur Haj House on October 29 to discuss details about arrangements for the pilgrimage.

Kerala, this time, would be able to send 7818 devotees for the pilgrimage through the Haj Committee.
