Eid-ul-fitr will be celebrated in Kargil tomorrow

Kargil, Oct 23 (UNI) The Eid-ul-fitr will be celebrated in the shia dominated Kargil in Ladakh region of the Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow.

Hundreds of people, who had gathered in the compound of Islamia high school this afternoon could clearly see the Shawal moon, culminating the holy fasting month of Ramzn,.

An announcement was later made by the head of the school that Eid-ul-fitr will be celebrated tomorrow throughout the Ladakh region.

He appealed to people to pray for peace in the state.

Ladakh is the first to announce end of the holy month of Ramzan in the three regions of the Jammu and Kashmir. The Kashmir valley and Jammu region has not yet decide about the Eid.
