CPCL Q2 net halves to Rs 97.25 crore

Mumbai, Oct 23 (UNI) Petroleum major Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd (CPCL) has posted a net profit of Rs 97.25 crore for the quarter ended September 30 this year as compared to Rs 196.43 crore for the corresponding quarter the previous year, a fall of 50.49 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 5,465.23 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, to Rs 6,621.53 crore for the quarter ended September 30.
