Cool weather continues in Delhi, slight rise in mercury
New Delhi, Oct 23 (UNI) Cool climes ushered in Delhi in the past few days continued today despite a slight rise in mercury even as weathermen forecast another spell of rainfall in the coming week due to a fresh Western disturbance.
''A fresh western disturbance is likely to affect Western Himalayan region and adjoining northern plains during October 25-27,''the weathermen said.
In fact, the weather office has forecast an increase in rainfall activity in Northwest India, specially in the Western Himalayan region from Wednesday onwards.
Though the maximum temperature today rose to 30.3 degree Celsius, from 27.6 degree C yesterday, it still remained two degrees below normal. Also,the Easterly winds continued to bring coolness in the weather.
And, with the weathermen forecasting fresh rains in North India in the coming week, the cool climes seem here to stay.
For Delhi, the met office has forecast a mainly clear sky likely to become party cloudy towards the evenings and thundery development in some areas during the next 24 hours.
