Congress organises rally protesting against TDP

Vijayawada, Oct 23 (UNI) Protesting against the Telugu Desam Party's (TDP) recent rally in which a dalit TDP member was portrayed as a look alike of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and in an 'objectionable' manner, the Congress organised a 'dalit self-respect protection rally' here today.

Thousands of dalits participated in the rally.

The protesters also burnt an effigy of the TDP.

It may be recalled that the TDP leaders took out a rally in the city on October 19 protesting against the Chief Minister's alleged role in granting clemency to Gouru Venkata Reddy and the Outer Ring Road Project in Hyderabad city.
