CM orders payment of bonus, ex-gratia to Co-optex staff

Chennai, Oct 23 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi has ordered payment of bonus and ex-gratia to the staff of Tamil Nadu Handloom Weavers' Cooperative Society Limited (Co-optex) on account of Deepavali.

In all, 1069 Co-optex staff, working in various parts of the country, would get 8.33 per cent bonus and 1.67 per cent ex-gratia, with a ceiling of Rs 3,000, Co-optex Managing Director said in a press release here.

Thanking the Chief Minister for announcing the bonus, the Managing Director said the employees could draw the bonus till the end of this month.
