CM criticises move to allow post offices in private sector

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 23: Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today strongly criticised the Centre's move to allow Post Offices in the private sector.

In a statement here, he alleged that the move was in violation of the assurance given by the UPA Government to the Left and other trade unions in regard to the postal sector.

He said there was no justification for going ahead with privatisation since the existing system of postal service could be made more efficient.
