BJP not interested in development: Pachauri

Bhopal, Oct 23 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Suresh Pachauri today alleged that the BJP is least interested in development works.

''The benefits of central schemes had failed to reach people due to this mentality of the BJP leaders,'' said Mr Pachauri, while addressing an election meeting at Mandideep area in Madhya Pradesh's Vidisha parliamentary constituency, which is slated to go for by-poll on October 30.

He said the BJP had been making shallow promises in the name of development. On the contrary, the Congress had always accorded priority to development works.

Taking a dig at the BJP High Command for creating political instability in the state by changing Chief Ministers frequently, he said public was fed up with this tendency and had made up its mind to elect the Congress.

The Minister exhorted party workers to highlight the failures of the BJP Government before people, besides working with complete enthusiasm at poll booths.

Ms Rajshree Singh, the Congress candidate for Vidisha seat, also addressed the meeting.
