Air Warriors Symphony Orchestra to perform in Nagpur

Nagpur, Oct 23 (UNI) The Air Warriors Symphony Orchestra (AWSO), a group of select musicians picked from various bands of the Indian Air Force (IAF), is scheduled to perform here for two days later this month.

Addressing a news conference here today, Maintenance Command's SMSO Air Marshal J S Apte, said the AWSO would perform before an invited audience on October 27 and hold an open performance next day as part of IAF's platinum jubilee celebrations.

The 70-member AWSO was formed in June 2002 to create awareness about IAF through music, and was based at Bangalore, he informed.

A half-marathon would be held here on November 5 as a part of the platinum jubilee celebration, he said, adding that a full-scale air display was planned to be held in October next year.
