3 Bangladeshis living under pseudonyms held

Lucknow, Oct 23 (UNI) The Special Task Force (STF) of the Uttar Pradesh police today arrested three Bangladeshi nationals, suspected to be working as 'facilitators' for Bangladesh-based terrorist outfits.

STF said here the trio -- all siblings -- were working in the state capital of Lucknow and Varanasi under pseudonyms.

Mohd Ferul, Mohd Kausar and Mohd Yaar were living as Deepu Sarkar, Sonu Sarkar and Deepark Sarkar respectively.

They could not speak fluent Hindi, but managed to communicate using a mix of Hindi and Bangla.

The trio had managed ration cards under their presumed names and cell phone connections using the ration cards. ''They had applied for passports and had submitted affidavits for the same giving fake addresses,'' said an STF official.

The calls they had received on the cell phones were from Bangladesh and Dubai. ''Therefore, we suspect they were working as facilitators for terrorist and fundamentalist organisations active in Bangladesh, which the ISI is using to foment trouble in India,'' an official claimed.

Interrogation would throw more light on their activities.
