Wife suspectedly burnt to death

Siwan, Oct 22 (UNI) A man, Abid Hussain, today allegedly burnt his wife to death following altercation over a trifle issue at Beldari village under Darauda police station in the district during the auspicious month of Ramzan.

Police said the couple had a fight during preparation of sehri ( a special food taken early morning during the month of Ramzan). In the meantime clothes of Hameeda Khatoon caught fire which soon engulfed her following which she died on the spot. The husband, fled away from the spot since the death of his wife.

Meanwhile, the brother of the deceased alleged that his sister was burnt to dead.The husband is absconding.

Raids were on to nab Md Hussain.

Meanwhile, a woman Hemwati Devi died yesterday when lightning struck her at Kaudia Jakh village under Basantpur police station area in the district.
