Three of a family shot dead

Patna, Oct 22 (UNI) Three members of a family were shot dead by some unknown armed miscreants at Jaganpura village under Gaurichak police station here last night, police today said.

District Police Superintendent Kundan Krishnan here today said criminals barged into the house of one Rameshwar Prasad Singh and fired indiscriminately killing him on the spot.

The deceased's son and daughter were also killed in the incident, he added.

The deceased's failure to pay the extortion money demanded by the criminals was the motive behind the killing, Mr Krishnan claimed.

Two of the miscreants have been arrested from Danapur police station area this morning in this connection and interrogation was on, he said.
