Record Diwali power supply
Bhopal, Oct 22 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government today claimed that every division, district and tahsil headquarters was supplied power round-the-clock during Diwali and each village received 12 hours' supply during the night.
Official sources said here that, for the first time in six years, a peak-hour demand of 5,404 MW was met but about Rs 12 crore worth of electricity had to be purchased from outside the state.
Thermal power stations' plant load factor exceeded 74 per cent during the period.
