Heavy rains likely at Tamil Nadu

Pune, Oct 22 (UNI) Day temperatures were apprecaibly to markedly above normal in Konkan and Goa and in some parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and of coastal Karnataka and were above normal in Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Telangana and in some parts of Orissa, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka and of Kerala.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Arunachal Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and in some parts of Assam and were below normal in Bihar, Haryana and east Rajasthan.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of north Orissa, east Uttar Pradesh and of Uttaranchal and were below normal in Assam and Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, north Tamil Nadu and in remaining parts of north Orissa and of Uttar Pradesh. They were appreciably above normal in Kutch and in some parts of west Rajasthan and were above normal in Haryana, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, Saurashtra, coastal Karnataka and in remaining parts of west Rajasthan.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Heavy rain are likely to occur at many places in Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Kerala, Lakshadweep and at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttaranchal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, coastal and south interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Jharkhand, Bihar, Vidarbha, Gujarat State, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana and north interior Karnataka.

Heavy rain have occurred at a few places in Tamil Nadu.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Telangana, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
