Five meet watery grave in Bihar

Samastpur, Oct 22 (UNI) Altogether five people, including three women, drowned in two separate incidents in the district during the past 24 hours.

Police said the three women drowned today when a boat ferrying them capsized midway in a river near Tirakhpur village under Khanpur police station.

However, thirteen others travelling in the ill-fated boat, swam to the shore, police added.

In another incident, two boys were swept away in strong current of the river near Belsandi village under Vibhutipur police station yesterday when they were taking bath, police said.
