Driver disappears with cash, valuables worth Rs 10.92 lakh

Mumbai, Oct 22 (UNI) A driver allegedly disappeared with cash and valuables worth Rs 10,92,000 last evening from outside hotel Peninsula in Sion, Central Mumbai.

Ajit Minlal Shah along with his friend had gone to Hotel Peninsula at about 2300 hrs in their car containing cash and valuables.

However, while the duo was having dinner, Shah's driver fled with Rs 7.80 lakh in cash and gold coins worth Rs 3.12 lakh from the car.

The police have registered a case of theft. No arrests have been made so far, police said.
