Diesel seized, 13 held in AP

Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Oct 22 (UNI) Marine police today seized 800 litres of diesel and a mechanised boat which was used for clandestinely transporting diesel from Tug (miniship), and arrested 13 persons in this regard.

Talking to UNI here, Marine Police Inspector Y R Srinivas said the boat crew with the help of Tug named as Rage Captain Raju sold 800 litres of diesel. The Rage was sold to a Mumbai-based businessman, three months ago, without the notice of its owner.

He said diesel worth 24,000, miniship of about Rs 6.4 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh, in cash, were recovered from them.
