Bengal earns two points in draw match vs Jharkhand
Jamshedpur, Oct 22 (UNI) Bengal earned vital two points by virtue of 209 runs first innings lead against hosts Jharkhand as the three-day Col C K Naidu Trophy (Under 22) ended in a draw at the Keenan stadium here today.
At the end of the play on the concluding day today, Jharkahnd were 193 for three in the second knock with the help of twin half centuries by Saikat Roy (50) and Rohit Singh (53 not out).
For Bengal D Pal and S Ghosh picked up two and one wickets conceding 49 and 36 runs respectively.
Earlier, Bengal declared its first innings 415 for 4 which studded with a fine unbeaten ton of 153 by Wriddhiman Saha. But P S Bhattacharjee missed the ton by a solitary run. Arindam Ghosh also scored a strokeful 89 runs.
Jharkhand were all out for 206 in the first innings as Sourav Sarkar ripped through the host's innings with seven wickets for 66 runs.
Brief score : Jharkhand (First innings) 206 all out (Second innings) 193 for 3 Bengal (First Innings) 415 for 4 declared.
