Spain to play friendly against Romania next month
MADRID, Oct 21 (Reuters) Spain will play Romania in a friendly in Cadiz on November 15, the Spanish Football Federation said on their Website today.
It will be Spain coach Luis Aragones's first match since he signed a two-year contract extension earlier this week.
Aragones was under pressure to quit following defeats by Northern Ireland last month and Sweden two weeks ago but his team boosted morale with a 2-1 win over Argentina in a friendly on October 11.
Spain are fifth in the Euro 2008 Group F qualifying section, nine points behind leaders Sweden who have played a game more.
Romania are third in Group G, with seven points from three matches.
Spain have a slight historical edge over Romania, with five wins and four defeats in 14 meetings.
