Police Commemoration Day observed in Nagaland

Kohima, Oct 21: Nagaland observed the Police Commemoration Day to remember the police personnel who have sacrificed their lives while performing their duties to maintain peace and integrity in the country.

It was also held at all other states.

Nagaland Home Secretary Banuo Z Jamir and Director General of Police J Changkija along with other top ranking officials were present at Phesema Police Reserve here to pay their homage.

The names of all 684 police personnel, who laid their lives in performing their duties during the year from all over the country, was read out with full police honour and salute.

Among them about 14 police personnel were from the state, sources said.
