Mysore records 5 cms rainfall
Bangalore, Oct 21 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours here today.
Rainfall occurred at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.
Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Mysore 5; Virajpet 4; Periyapatna 3; Belthangadi, Bhagamandala, Mandya, Mangalore AP 2 each; K.R.Nagara 1.
Maximum temperatures changed little over the State and were appreciably above normal at most places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and above normal at many places over North Interior Karnataka.
Minimum temperatures rose at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka.
Gulbarga recorded the highest maximum temperature of 35 deg.
Celsius and Dharwad recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 17.3 deg. Celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather may prevail over North Interior Karnataka.
Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu districts; at isolated places over Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajnagara districts.
Mainly dry weather may prevail over remaining districts of the State.
Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 30 deg. Celsius and 20 deg. Celsius respectively.
