BJP legislator, wife killed in Madhya Pradesh

Khandwa, Oct 21: A ruling Bharatiya Janata Party legislator and his wife were slain by hitherto unidentified assailants near this district's Mortakka area this morning, the police said.

Pandhana MLA Kishorilal Verma and his wife died after their throats were slit.

Senior police officers have reached the spot.

Mr Verma, who represented the Scheduled Castes community, had served as Minister of State for School Education in the Sunderlal Patwa government.
