Manoj, Reshma to lead PDAAA in state athletics meet

Pune, Oct 21 (UNI) Manoj Dambale of Walchandnagar and Reshma Dalvi of Pune will lead the Poona District Amateur Athletic Association (PDAAA) Under-20 Boys and Girls teams respectively in the Maharashtra State Athletic Championship to be held at Buldhana in the first week of November.

PDAAA secretary general Pralhad Sawant, while announcing the contingents, said Hardeep Singh of Army Sports Institute (ASI) and Pankaja Khole of Narayangaon will be the captains for the Under-18 Boys and Girls teams.

Gulab Singh Vasawe of Krida Probhodini and Bhagyashri Shirke of Renuka Swaroop School will lead the Under-16 Boys and Girls teams while Feroze Shaikh and Pranita Ghate will captain the Boys and Girls Under-14.

The PDAAA will be condcting a coaching-cum-training camp at the newly-laid Baburao Sanas Synthetic Stadium of the Pune Municipal Corporaton from October 23 till the teams' departure for Buldhana.

Noted coaches Suresh Gukarati and Shiv Chatrapati awardee Gurbans Kaur will put the athletes through their paces.

Abhay Malekar and Harshada Dubey will be the managers for the boys and girls teams.

Following are the teams: Boys Under-20: Manoj Dambale (Capt), Ashwin Shetty, Abhijit Vite, Younus Mohammed, Keshav Singh, Balwinder Singh, Ajit Gaikwad.

Girls Under-20: Reshma Dalvi (Capt), Pooja Patil, Kavita Jagtap, Sulochana Bhonve, Reshma Patil, Kalyani Mashirase, Teja Karkhanis, Akansha Nirale, Swati Dimle, Vaishali Gudikar.

Boys Under-18: Hardip Singh (Capt), Wasim Khan, Deepak Basarkar, Rakesh Rohit, Avdesh Kumar Pal, Preta Kshirsagar.

Girls Under-18: Pankaja Khole (Capt), Rucha Patil, Swati Gadwe, Neha Gaikwad, Poornima Nimangune, Ekta Jadhav, Deepali Uthale.

Boys Under-16: Gulab Singh Vasave (Capt), Kuldip Bonge, Pravin Yadav, Bheem Singh Vasave, Dattatraya Zote, Taiyappa Shedge, Shriyash Ambaraskar.

Girls Under-16: Bhagyashri Shirke (Capt), Tanvi Shanbag, Shalakha Vaikar, Varsha More, Pererna Genje, Vaishnavi Zare, Rajashri More, Rupali Gutakule.

Boys Under-14: Feroz Shaikh (Capt), Anashu Vasave, Sonaiye Vasave.

Girls Under-14: Pranita Ghate (Capt), Sanjana Lahange, Shreya Thingre.
