Manager of a local newspaper passes away

Rajkot, Oct 21 (UNI) Mr K D Shukla, the manager of a local newspaper, 'Phulchhab' today died of a severe heart attack.

Mr Shukla (54) is learnt to have suffered a severe attack at the office premises of the news paper around 0800 hrs.

He was immediately rushed to the civil hospital, where he was declared, brought dead, hospital sources said.

On hearing of his sudden demise, scores of local mediapersons and other dignatories of the city rushed to his residence.

He is survived by his wife and two sons.

Mr Shukla had joined the daily Phulchhab, a Janmabhoomi Prakashan group newspaper nine months ago.

It is worth mentioning here, that he was associated with the Indian Express group for 19 years.

His funeral procession will start from his residence at Vaishalinagar area today evening, family sources added.
