Lottery tickets seized, three arrested in Agartala

Agartala, Oct 21 (UNI) Police today seized lottery tickets worth Rs one lakh and arrested three persons for illegaly selling tickets in violation of the state's ban order.

The police had launched an anti-lottery drive after the Tripura government banned the sale and purchase of lottery tickets of any kind from any state from October 16, official sources said.

Police also added that the state would now be known as no lottery state.

Police would also continue its anti-lottery drive in the state, the sources added.
