Five dead in apartment fire in Moscow
Moscow, Oct 21 (UNI) Five people died in a fire that broke out in an apartment building in central Moscow last night Russian news agencies reported, quoting the Emergency Situations Ministry.
Twenty teams of firemen were involved in dousing the blaze which broke out at 2119 hrs local time. The fire started on the 12th storey of a 14-storey apartment house on Shabolovkaya Street, and later spread onto the 13th and 14th storey.
''Three bodies were found in an apartment on the 13th floor. They might have been suffocated,'' a source at the Fire Crisis Center told Russian news agency, Itar-Tass.
Two more bodies were found under the debris on the 12th storey. Eight people were rescued.
