Fashion designer Biddappa's son in judicial custody till Nov 11
angalore, Oct 21 (UNI) A local court today sent Adam, son of fashion designer Prasad Biddappa, to judicial custody till November 11, for allegedly assaulting policemen.
Adam was arrested in the early hours yesterday from outside a pub. According to police, Adam, in a drunken state, assaulted the police who had gone to order the closure of the pub for opening late in the night.
Deputy Commissioner of Police G B Chabbi told UNI that he spotted the pub opened beyond midnight during night patrolling.
Adam, who was present in the pub, abused and assaulted the policemen who had come to order its closure. Mr Chabbi denied that police had demanded money from Mr Biddappa for release of his son as alleged by the fashion designer.
He said Mr Bidappa and his wife barged into the police station after hearing about their son's arrest where Mrs Bidappa allegedly pushed him.
However, Mr Biddappa countered the police version and charged that the police had slapped a false case on his son and wife. They had also demanded money for his son's release, he claimed.
