Chumukedima people take out peace rally

Kohima, Oct 21: Fearing inter-factional clash between the rival factions of NSCN, the people of Chumukedima under Dimapur district have taken out a peace rally appealing them not to fight with each other.

Several people including women and school children along with Chakroma Public Organization participated in the rally demanding the NSCN factions to leave Chumukedima area for the safety of the life and property here, sources said.

They also also called upon the NSCN leadership to reconcile and unite for the greater interest of the Naga cause, sources added.

However, it is not known whether the district administration or government has taken any action to stop the factional clashes.
