ASEB win Bordoloi Trophy

Guwahati, Oct 21 (UNI) Assam State Electricity Board (ASEB) won the prestigious Bordoloi Trophy defeating defending champions Assam Regimental Centre (ARC) by a solitary goal in the final of the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Trophy football tournament here today.

The all important goal of the match was scored by Sanjiva Rongpi for ASEB in the second half after the first half ended goalless.

ASEB became the champion of the Bordoloi trophy tournament for the second time after 1988. Suresh Das of ASEB was adjudged as the best player of the tournament, while Mintu Sonowal of the same team became the best goal keeper.
