Actor Sanjay Dutt allowed to visit temples in Pune
Mumbai, Oct 21: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, accused in 1993 bomb blasts case, has been allowed to visit Pune for three days from October 22 to offer prayers at Balaji and Dagdu Seth Ganesh temples there.
Designated TADA judge P D Kode who granted him permission late evening directed him not to tamper with evidences and also not to contact any of the absconding accused neither on telephone nor physically during his three days visit.
The application which was moved by advocate Farhana Shah appealed to the court to grant him permission to enable the actor to perform his religious duty.
The application was earlier withdrawn before the court following prosecution's opposition which, contended that the court is pronouncing the final verdict and at this juncture the applicant should not be allowed to leave Mumbai.
The court had granted this permission as the court is not functioning during Diwali vacation from Oct 21 to 29.
