White canes donated to 200 blind children

Chandigarh, Oct 20 (UNI) Amway Opportunity Foundation (AOF) today celebrated International White Cane Day, distributing 200 white canes to the visually challenged.

The poor children were distributed white canes at a programme which the AOF organised along with Punjab Welfare Association of the Blind.

This is the sixth consecutive year that AOF has partnered with All India Confederation of Blind to celebrate International White Cane Day.

Besides Chandigarh, the white canes were distributed to the poor visually challenged children in Jaipur, Patna, Baroda, Indore, Bhubaneshwar, Hyderabad and Bangalore, a spokesman of AOF said here.
