SRM varsity, Queen Mary College ink MoU
Chennai, Oct 20 (UNI) The SRM University and the Queen Mary College of the University of London today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for undertaking activities and programmes for facilitating academic, scientific and technological exchange and cooperation.
The MoU was signed by SRM University Vice Chancellor P Sathyanarayanan and Queen Mary College President and Principal Adrian Smith.
This is the first MoU to be signed by the Queen Mary College with an Indian University.
In his address to the gathering, Mr Sathyanarayanan said, ''SRM University and Queen Mary College will jointly work in wide range of areas which will be identified during the course of time.'' Prof Smith, who is also the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of London, said the MoU would include co-operative teaching, joint degree programmes, co-operative research, development of joint research laboratory, student and faculty exchange and publications.
Earlier in the day, Prof Smith went around SRM University campus and inspected the facilities available there.
He also informed the students and staff about the research and academic activities available at the Queen Mary College.
