Sensex up 92.6 pts at 12,816.05 in the noon trade
Mumbai, Oct 20 (UNI) The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensitive Index (Sensex) has maintained its early momentum and is trading 92.6 points in the green at 12,816.05 at the early noon trade.
The boost provided by Reliance Industries results has brought back the positivity on the Sensex.
Secondly, the investors are also looking forward to the Tata Steel and Corus deal, the press conference is scheduled for 1530 hrs in Hyderabad and it is expected the deal would boost the metals sector.
Major indices on the BSE are all in the green, especially led by metals up by 1.83 per cent and followed by Consumer Durables up by 1.45 per cent, and the Capital Goods up by 1.16 per cent.
Major gainers on the BSE-30 index are Tata Steel, Wipro, Reliance Energy, Hindalco, Reliance Industries, BHEL, Bharti Airtel, HDFC, Ranbaxy lab, ACC, all up between 1.12 to 2.61 per cent.
Besides, the losers are Bajaj Auto, HDFC Bank, Satyam Computers, ITC and Dr Reddy's Lab all down between 0.02 to 0.75 per cent.
