Rupee closes flat Rs 45.32/34/USD

Mumbai, Oct 20 (UNI) Indian Rupee today closed flat at Rs 45.32/34 per US Dollar compared to previous 45.32/33 per US Dollar, a money market trader said.

Earlier Rupee opened strong by twelve paise at Rs 45.20/21 per US Dollar and in the mid morning traded at Rs 45.31/32 per US Dollar.

The six month forward premia was fixed at 1.58 per cent and the one year premia was at 1.54 per cent.

Reserve Bank Of India today fixed the reference Rate at Rs 45.31 per US Dollar compared to yesterday's Rs 45.32 per USD.

The performance of Rupee against other currencies was not so good, against Euro Rupee closed down at Rs 57.06 (56.90), against Pound Sterling it closed down at Rs 85.26 (84.65) and against Yen it closed down at Rs 38.24 (38.20).
