Romanian President to visit India from Oct 22-24

New Delhi, Oct 20: Romanian President Traian Basescu will pay a State visit to India during October 22-24.

This will be the second Presidential visit from Romania to India since 2004.

The Romanian President who arives here on Sunday night, will have all his official engagements on Monday including a meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The discussions with Prime Minister will be followed by delegation-level talks between the two countries and signing of agreements.

The same evening, he will attend a luncheon meeting organised by FICCI, ASSOCHAM and CII.

UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, L K Advani, will call on him separately.

Later, he will meet President A P J Abdul Kalam at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The next day, i.e. on October 24, he will leave for Agra and Mumbai.
