Rain likely in MP
Bhopal, Oct 20 (UNI) Though cyclonic circulation has weakened over northern Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior-Chambal region, its influence is likely to cause precipitation over many parts of the state.
The state capital and several parts of Madhya Pradesh experienced squalls lasting two to three hours last evening and that severely affected shopping on the auspicious Hindu day of 'Dhanteras'.
A Regional Meteorological Centre source said that a few locations in Bhopal, Rewa, Hoshangabad, Indore, Ujjain and Gwalior divisions recorded overnight rainfall. The figures were Bhopal 3 cm, Shajapur 2 cm and Hoshangabad 1 cm.
Thundershowers are possible over the next 24 hours at some places in Indore, Gwalior, Chambal, Bhopal and Hoshangabad divisions.
Ujjain recorded a high of 37 degrees Celsius and the minimum was 17 C.
