Naidu for maintaining 'status quo' in SC, ST reservations

New Delhi, Oct 20: Telugu Desam Chief N Chandrababu Naidu today favoured prevailing status quo position regarding reservation status for creamy layers in SCs and STs in education, employment and promotions.

Asked for his reaction on the decision of the Supreme Court judgement seeking to deny reservation benefits for the creamy layers in SC, STs, Mr Naidu said one should not forget that the reservations were allowed not just for economic backwardness but also for social, educational and cultural reasons.
