Mulayam govt exploiting farmers: CPI(M)

Ferozabad, Oct 20 (UNI) Communist Party of India (Marxist) today alleged that the Samajwadi Party-led Uttar Pradesh government was exploiting farmers.

Addressing a meeting here, CPI(M) senior leader and former MP Subhasini Ali alleged the Mulayam Singh Yadav government was acquiring fertile land for private purposes.

''Highly productive land is being acquired for developing a high tech city in Varanasi,'' she added.

Ms Ali informed that the CPI(M) would start a movement for the protection of farmers' interests in Varanasi on October 29.

She called upon all the sections of people to help the farmers by opposing the state government policies.
