Ministry of non-conventional energy sources gets new name

New Delhi, Oct 20 (UNI) The Government has changed the name of the Ministry of Non-Conventional Energy Sources (Aparamparik Oorja Srota Mantralaya) to Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (Naveen aur Navikarniya Mantralaya).

The notification in this regard was issued by the Cabinet Secretariat last week.

With this, the name of the ministry is more relevant to the present scenario and developments in the arena of new and renewable sources of energy.
