Medilab to expand operations

Kochi, Oct 20: Buoyed by the recent NABL accreditation, Kochi-based medical diagnostic major Medilab is shifting gears into an aggressive growth mode with comprehensive expansion plans.

Talking to mediapersons here yesterday, Director of Medilab T A Varkey said, it was poised to accelerate growth by launching new tests in molecular biology, drug analysis and genetic studies.

He said Medilab was planning to expand its operations with new outlets in cities like Alappuzha, Thrissur and Kottayam.

As part of its international expansion plan, labs would be opened in the United Arab Emirates, he noted.

With the NABL (National Accreditation Board of Calibration and Testing Laboratories) accreditation, Medilab's testing receives greater access in domestic and international markets as they are accepted worldwide, he added.
